Matt Wilson joined Benchmark in April 2009 and has been helping individuals and families work toward their financial goals ever since. He holds FINRA Series 7, 65, and 66 securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network®, as well as a Pennsylvania Life, Health, and Accident Insurance license.
Matt earned an Associate Degree in Information Technology Support from the Community College of Allegheny County in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 2018, he earned the Chartered Special Needs Consultant® (ChSNC®) designation through The American College, enhancing his ability to guide families navigating the unique financial challenges associated with caring for loved ones with disabilities.
Although not originally from Hanover, Matt has established deep roots in the community. He and his wife, Erica, are raising two sons, both of whom are on the autism spectrum. As a parent, Matt understands firsthand the concerns families face when planning for the long-term care, support, and financial security of a child with special needs. This personal experience inspired him to pursue his ChSNC® designation and fuels his passion for helping other families create thoughtful plans for the future.
When he's not working with clients, Matt enjoys spending time with his family and pets. Whether riding trains, exploring interests with his sons, or enjoying community activities, he values the moments that keep him connected to what matters most.
